Everyday, dust, grime, and moisture threaten the cleanliness of our home. One way to keep these elements at bay is through the use of floor mats and door mats. A door mat is our first line of defense against these elements that can easily turn our fresh and clean home into something that you would have thought has not been tidied up for years. However, we do not only use these helpful mats to keep our house clean. They also do well in making our home look more attractive.

You might think that door mats are boring but what you do not know is that there different kinds of mats available for use in your entrance ways. These mats can very well complement the entire look of your home and can also be used to accentuate the theme that your home has. For example, you might be interested in a river stone doormat if you want to bring a Zen-like atmosphere into your home. You will see a variety of massage therapies upon examination of the remote control. The Montage Premier also comes with a wireless set remote. You can access about 80% of the functions using this small portable sub remote.

The Montage Premier makes it easy to get comfortable. You can use the powered recline buttons to adjust the angle of the chair back and also raise the leg rest. Then even extend out the foot rest for extra inches. This helps to accommodate those with longer legs.

How to change Your Furnace Air Filter

Friday, July 17th, 2009

Furnace heated homes all feature furnace filters. These are small filters that sit inside your heating system and collect dust and particles from the air that passes through them. They require regular cleaning to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently.

Global recommendation is that you change or clean your furnace air filter every month. When the time comes to make a change, have a good read through your service manual to familiarize yourself with the necessary tools and sequence.

Using the electric switch supplied on your furnace, you need to disconnect the power, before you perform any furnace maintenance, including filter changes. If your heater is gas powered and not electric, you should also shut down your gas line connection. Again referring to your specific model’s manual, you need to locate and open the furnace blower door. Your reference manual should describe where it is and how to open the door on your furnace model. Once the blower door is open, your furnace’s filter should be clearly visible. Simply slide out the filter to replace it with the new one. If you run into any problems or it seems to remove only with great difficulty, then I recommend you refer to your heater model’s manual.

Massage Chairs Perform Shiatsu Therapy Like Human Hands

Monday, April 13th, 2009

The evolution of technology in general and mechanical systems with software in specific have created the shiatsu massage chair of today. Shiatsu has been performed by skilled therapists from the beginning of time, originating in Japan. The modernization of Japan lead to the integration of mechanics and electronic controls into shiatsu massage chairs. These advanced robotic masseuses perform scans of the body to locate acupressure points, neck and shoulder. The massage is customized to each user.

The shiatsu massage technique employs rhythmic, gradual pressure with the finger (Shi) and gentle, firm pressure (atsu) to specific points in the body which together is finger pressure. This 5,000 year old technique evolved from traditional Asian medicine. Finger pressure massage applies pressure to specific points in the body to help regulate the flow of energy in the body. The rhythmic finger movements include tapping, kneading and gripping which increases the energy flow and restores balance. Shiatsu also applies pressure to specific points in the body. Shiatsu helps in restoring balance and well being. Shiatsu can be performed gently or invigorating to bring deep relaxation and a tranquil natural balance.

Review: Human Touch HT 7120 Massage Chair Recliner

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

We are going to take a in depth look at the HT-7120 massage chair recliner. The HT 7120 is made by the Human Touch Company. They are based out of Long Beach, CA. We are going to look at the best features and functions of this luxury lounger. We will also touch on the warranty coverage. Here is our review of the HT-7120 massage chair recliner.

We always want to advise our clients that you want to stick with one of the top massage chair brands. There are many massage chairs that have many features and are offered at very low prices. This is only accomplished by using cheap parts which will have short life spans. Human Touch is a reputable company, so you do not have to worry about them.

The HT-7120 comes with the following warranty coverage: 3 years for the structure of the chair, 1 year for parts and 90 days labor. We find this warranty a bit short for this class of massage chair. Human Touch does not include in home technician service with this chair, so any problems require you to return the chair back to them or pay for the technician to come to your house. We are a bit surprised, since we feel the Human Touch chairs are fairly well built, but this is not reflected in this warranty.

Friday, April 25th, 2008

Human Touch has a full massage chair line and the HT 7450 is the top of the line. We take an inside look at the salient features, functions and warranty coverage of this high end massage chair. The HT 7450 is also a Zero Gravity massage chair. We present our evaluation of this massage chair recliner.

When looking for a massage chair, it is best to stick with the top brands in the industry. There are too many cheap knock off importers that will not be around next year. There are chairs to fit every budget. Go with a good quality massage chair from a known company and you will be happy for years to come.

Warranty coverage is your long term coverage on this big ticket purchase. You want to make sure you get sufficient coverage for your needs. The HT 7450 comes with the following warranty coverage: 5 years structure, 3 years parts, 1 year labor and 90 days in home technician service. The 1 year labor is much shorter than the other national massage chair brands. Otherwise, the warranty coverage is on par with the other major massage recliner players.

Garden Decorating - From Garden Design To Easy Additions

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

Beyond the plants that you put in your garden there are lots of opportunities to bring a sense of style through decorating your garden area. The first place to start is with the design of the garden layout itself, then with the structures in the garden and then with the extra add-ons that you can place throughout the area.

Garden Design and layout form the backbone of your designs. There is a practical component of your garden layout that must come before the visual layout. The garden must be organized to group appropriate plants together and to place plants in the proper order for sunlight to reach them. You don’t want your corn blocking out all of the sunlight to the rest of your garden for example. You also need to account for access, water availability and other fixed landscaping elements.

You also need to pay attention to the way your layout will affect things like the look and feel of the garden. Do you have views that you want blocked and do you have a solution to that challenge? Do you want to have small intimate areas or large open spaces? Will you have color all year around with the plant selections that you made? Are things placed so that they get the right amount of sun or shade? Think about how you want to use the garden year round and throughout each day to make sure you maximize the space and sunlight.

Garden Design And Decorating From The Beginning

Friday, February 29th, 2008

Designing and new garden can seem like and overwhelming task but if you break it down into some key steps designing and decorating a new garden can be a very fun experience. If you are at the planning stages for a new garden start by collecting inspiration and specific garden design ideas from magazines and visiting gardens in your area. Once you have a notebook full of ideas it is time to start the layout process.

The key to a great garden really comes down to having a good blueprint that you can follow. The first step is to focus on the fundamentals of layout. Pay attention to fixed elements in and outside of the garden like access to water, the garden entrance and other fixed feature that you need to work around (trees, wall, fences, etc). Place all of the desired elements in different configurations on paper until you come up with a plan that feel like the winner.
