The problem with many Elvis fans is that they’re so obsessive. And they’ve got good reason to be so, Elvis was the King, after all.

And that also makes them very difficult to please when it comes to gifts. They can be very picky – and they may already have what you’re thinking of buying, or an equivalent.

So how do you go about finding the perfect gift for a devoted Elvis fan?

The absolutely crucial thing is to understand specifically what they person you’re buying for likes. Is it memorabilia – original artwork or records? Is it “fun stuff” like Elvis teddy bears or lampshades? or is it something they can wear like Jewellery, clothing or shoes?

You can get clues by looking at what they already have. Is their home filled with Elvis teddies, mugs or lampshades? Do they only have authentic originals? Or do they wear a whole bunch of Elvis clothing?

Most of the time you’re best off buying something similar. A serious collector would appreciate a classic poster much more than they would a cuddly toy.
